Birthday Fun
This little cutie turned 4 years old today! (I can't believe how time has flown.) We spent Saturday at Disneyland with my in-laws to celebrate. I just love her so much!
I also captured a few other fun shots while sitting in Cars Land (California Adventure) waiting for people to finish some rides.

Is it summer, yet?
I've been spending a lot of time working on my final project for my photography class, and I may have been slightly neglecting my kids to do it. Yesterday afternoon my 3-year-old and I spent some time out on the grass while my youngest napped (and I'll admit, I was multi-tasking and still working on my project). I'm ready for summer.
Observations on a Morning Walk
My daughters and I like to go for walks. I brought my camera along last week to capture some of our observations. (I have added captions to some of these. Feel free to offer you own caption ideas as well.)
If you cut a tree down, does it bleed?
Marked for execution; saved by grace.
Little girls are adorable in pink sunglasses.
You can't judge something by the shadow it casts.
Nemo was right!
Scarred.
3-year-olds don't walk very far.
Breaking out.
A Girl and her Flower :: Orange County Photographer
My 3-year-old loves flowers. So I decided to capture some special moments she shared with a flower she picked. So precious!
Spring? :: Orange County Photographer
Snow in April? A sight all-too-common in Utah, which is where we spent spring break this year. I love the combination of snow and spring blossoms. There's something encouraging about it. (Note -- these images were taken in the afternoon, except the last one, after most of the snow had melted.)
And, just for fun, my favorite picture of my 3-year-old enjoying the snow. Literally.

The Violinist :: Orange County Portrait Photographer
My mother graciously agreed to model for me while I was visiting her a couple weeks ago. She is a fabulous violinist, and I wanted to capture the beauty of this instrument alongside my radiant mother. (This was also part of an assignment for my class in which I had to capture an object outside of its natural environment.)
Spring Lily :: Orange County Photographer
My favorite flowers are Stargazer Lilies. My husband knows this. And every so often he stops on his way home to pick up a bouquet for me. (The reason this weekend was to bring a little happiness in the gloomy rain.) Until yesterday, I never really paid attention to how the blooms open. Breathtaking.
Welcome, Spring.
