One of our favorite Christmas traditions (though still a little new in our family) is reading "The Polar Express". What are some of your favorite things to do with your children at Christmas?
My Little Dancer
My daughter had her dance recital a couple weeks ago, and I just cannot get over how grown up she is becoming. She sure is one cute little ballerina. :)
The Drurys :: Orange County Family Photographer
The Drury family asked me to take pictures for their holiday card, and I was happy to do it! These kids are so cute. Sad story, though (I'm still a little shaken up about it) -- we had to do a re-shoot with the kids, and about 20 minutes into our second session, the littlest Drury took a bad fall on some stone steps. She's ok, but she had quite a good bump on her head. (Needless to say, we called it a day at that point.) I got an update from her mom that evening, and there are no broken bones and no concussion. I was so relieved to hear that, but I still feel so sad for the poor baby! She handled the whole thing like a champ, though. What a tough cookie!
The Bremers :: Orange County Family Photographer
This family was such a riot! Each little girl is so full of spunk and each of them has such a strong, unique personality. Not to mention they're all quite good-lookin', don't you think? What a beautiful family!
Working out some bugs...
I've been having issues with one of my new lenses (it doesn't seem capable of focusing reliably). So to see if I could work out the bugs I enlisted the aid of my 4-year-old. We took it outside to test it a bit and compare it with my other (most favorite) lens this afternoon. Unfortunately, I only got one satisfactory shot with the problem lens (the one through the mail slot), and I still haven't figured out what's going on. But I did get some fun pictures in the meantime. (Waste not, want not, right?)
Up, Up, and Away!
We threw my daughter an "Up" themed party for her second birthday last month. One of my favorite parts was the balloon basket that we took all the kids' pictures in (credit goes to my awesome sister-in-law for that idea). I'm only posting the pictures of my kids, though. It was a big hit and so cute!
Spunky Alexis at 4 years :: Orange County Child Photographer
As I mentioned before, my little girl turned 4 years old in September, and I finally got around to taking her 4-year pictures a month later. (and it took me almost the rest of the month to actually edit and post them...fail) But she's a cutie-pie all the same. (I love that she picked her own outfit for this shoot! It totally shows off her spunk!)
Birthday Fun
This little cutie turned 4 years old today! (I can't believe how time has flown.) We spent Saturday at Disneyland with my in-laws to celebrate. I just love her so much!
I also captured a few other fun shots while sitting in Cars Land (California Adventure) waiting for people to finish some rides.
